Terms & Conditions

The serious part

1. Booking & Deposit

 

a. To secure your booking please contact Damianos Garnelis (Maxine Katsaros may act on behalf of Damianos Garnelis):

b. On receipt of a 25% deposit and the completed Booking Form, the booking will be confirmed by email with you. For last minute bookings, i.e. those taking place within 90 days of departure, the full cost of the holiday will be charged.

 

c. The balance of any booking is to be made in full, at the latest, 90 days before the first day of the stay.

 

d. Payments are made by bank transfer:

e. Guests are asked to contact Maxine Katsaros and/or Damianos Garnelis when a transfer is made, so that it can be confirmed in writing.

2. The Contract

 

Once payment is accepted, guests have entered into a contract with Damianos Garnelis for the rental of the property.

3. Cancellation by the Guest

 

a. Damianos Garnelis reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled if any part of the balance of the rental price remains unpaid by the due date.

 

b. All cancellations by the guest must be made by email from the lead person who made the booking. Cancellation applies from the date of receipt by Damianos Garnelis of the cancellation notification.

 

c. If the cancellation notification is received 90 days or more before the departure date, only the holiday deposit of 25% is forfeited. Thereafter, the following percentage of the total holiday price will be payable as a cancellation charge by the client:

 

   i. Between 90 and 45 days before departure – 50 %

   ii. Between 45 and 30 days before departure – 75 %

   iii. Between 30 days and the date of departure – 100%

 

The above cancellation charges represent a reasonable estimate by Damianos Garnelis of the likely losses resulting from your cancellation.

 

d. Cancellation charges also apply to partial cancellations, i.e. when a two week booking is amended to one week. In this case, cancellation charges would apply to the second cancelled week.

 

 

4. Cancellation by Damianos Garnelis

 

Should it be necessary for the villa rental to be cancelled at any time by Damianos, then the full cost paid by the client for the villa rental will be reimbursed.

 

 

5. Unforeseen Events

 

Should disruption to the holiday occur due to an unforeseen event, all reasonable steps will be taken to minimise loss for both parties, e.g. the booking dates will be renegotiated, the deposit carried forward/ applied to the new booking, etc.

 

 

6. Holiday Insurance

 

When completing the booking form, guests must confirm they have adequate holiday insurance against all holiday risks.

 

 

7. Completing the Booking Form

 

a. Lead Name & Contact Details:

These are the details of the sole person that we will take instructions from, or enter into dialogue/correspondence with, in respect of booking arrangements or subsequent issues relating to the booking. It is the address to which all the documentation will be sent and communication made.

 

b. Other Guest Details:

It is necessary that we have full details of all passengers who are travelling in the party and who intend to reside in the provided accommodation.

 

c. Declaration:

This must be signed by the lead person responsible for the booking, who must be over 18 years of age.

 

d. Returning the Form:

Booking forms may printed out, filled out by hand, scanned or photographed and then emailed back to info@damianoscorfu.com (or dambar@otenet.gr ) or else completed electronically and returned by email.

 

 

8. Final Balance

 

The balance is due 90 days prior to the first day of the stay in the holiday accommodation, or by return if already within this period. A reminder email will be sent two weeks before the 90 day notice period.

 

 

9. Additional Guests

 

Damianos House comfortably sleeps eight guests in three double rooms and one twin room. Up to two additional guests may be accommodated on single camp beds situated in the bedrooms. There is a surcharge of €200 per week for each additional guest, which covers utilities, water and laundry.

 

 

10. Car & Boat Hire

 

Car and boat hire services are available locally and we will be pleased to introduce you to local suppliers.

11. House Handbook

 

In Damianos House, on your arrival, you will find a comprehensive House Handbook, which provides helpful local information about restaurants, shops, local services, doctors, etc. The House Handbook can also be sent electronically prior to your stay. Before your holiday, you will be sent instructions on how to reach the villa by car.

 

 

12. Welcome Hamper

 

Guests will be provided with a welcome hamper at the beginning of their stay, which will include immediate essentials for the first day of arrival, such as: tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, honey, water, juice, fruit, salad items, crisps, biscuits, etc. Additional shopping may be ordered from local supermarkets who will deliver in time for your arrival.

13. Villa Essentials

 

We look after the basics, so you don’t have to: we make sure you have basic items in the villa to start off your holiday, e.g. loo roll, hand wash, cling film, tin foil, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, salt & pepper, oil & vinegar and a couple of dishwasher and washing machine tabs to get you started.
